Unlock code for Cireon in car cd player

Hi,
I'm new to this forum so apologies if this in the wrong place.
My son just bought a citreon saxo but the cd player is locked and the people selling it didn't know the code. Any ideas?

We have a citroen saxo and our unlock code is in the manual. Have a root through yours if you have it, if not I dont know what to suggest!

I think the only way is to go to citroen with the car and stereo and get them to give you the code. No one else has the codes.

They'll charge you for it, not sure how much.

just checked with OH and apparently ours is on a card (like a credit card) stuck inside the manual but is also handwritten in the manual as well. The thing is we bought ours from a dealership so if it had of been missing they would have sorted that.

I think the best advice as the person above has said is to go to Citroen.

If you know the original garage the car was bought from, try ringing them, I did that once with a van and they had the code still.

You can buy software on eBay which will generate the unlock code from the serial number of your CD player (you'll have to remove the CD player as the serial number will be on the case somewhere). I checked today and someone is offering to email the program for £1.50 which has got to be worth a try. Citroen radio code are good search terms.

I've got a Saxo and I had to go to a Citroen dealer, prove you are the owner and they will supply the code. I'm not sure if I had to pay a fiver for this. Make sure you write it down in your manual, I had my battery changed a couple of weeks ago and I had to search for the code again.
If you enter a wrong code it locks you out for a period of time and each time you enter a wrong code the time gets longer.
