Well the cable from the dish is going to have to get to the back of the Sky box somehow - there's no wireless way to do this other than to use the Sky+ box where it is and a video sender.
  • You really have four options

    1) Move the cables - which you say you dont want to do

    2) Extend the cables - reroute them inside the room to the new location

    3) Install new cables - most dishes have a quad LNB so assuming you dont have any other sky boxes in use already you could run another 2 cables from the dish to the new location. If its only a dual LNB then you'd need to replace the LNB (the LNB is the receiver part of the dish)

    4) Leave the sky box where it is and use a sender to push the signal to the TV - senders can be a little prone to interference from wifi, cordless phones, mobiles, microwaves etc but with a decent one and changing bands etc they normally work. Would just need to learn where to point the remote when wanting to change channels etc.
