Cached email access to exchange server

I am going on holidays on thursday, and as the flat will not have wifi, I wanted to install a program which would allow me to go to a cafe, download the emails and view them offline.
I have tried with Thunderbird, and Outlook, but it tells me it cannot locate the exchange. I can access them online through Microsoft Outlook Web Access, but other than that, no luck.
Does anyone understand my plight?

    Hi Stefano,

With Microsoft Outlook, You can read emails offline.

When you connect to the internet the emails will download as normal. Then Click on "File"and then choose "Work Offline." This will disconnect your computer from the Internet for the mail purposes.

You can write replies, but instead of choosing "Send" choose "Send when online." When you are ready to get back online, choose "Connect" or "Work online."

Does that work for you? I hope I'm not getting the wrong just here.
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.

If your company only allows OWA then you cannot do offline mail caching until Exchange 15 is released by MS and then installed in your company.
