Service on Suzuki X4

Hi

My dad bought a Suzuki X4 about a year ago, now he has only done 4000 miles, they have said to do the service it will be £160 at the garage where he purchased it, but they are offering a service to other vehicles at £69, my dad said why can't he have that one, and they said his car wouldn't be covered with that service!!! Is this correct?
My dad asked me to post this as he is sure there has been some thing brought in where you can get a service anywhere and you warranty is still valid!

Ask the garage and they will confirm that the £69, get you in the door, "service" is very far short of what the manufacturer will demand to get a stamp in the book.

I would expect the garage to charge more than £69 retail for the correct engine oil for an SX4.

Worth phoning a few other main dealers, especially those in out of the way places for service quotes, might be able to fit a service in with a planned visit somewhere more rural, the savings paying for the trip.

£69 for an oil change and a chance to find faults that hopefully you get them to sort whilst its there.

Brakes, Tyres etc etc etc.
