Extending sky leads to HD box

Please can anyone help - have bought 2 Philex sky extension cables as I wanted to move tv/sky to other side of room, fitted them ok, but evertime I turn off the sky box, it says "no satalite signal is being received" when I switch it back on again. I reconnect cable at back of box and it works - turn it off - same message comes up - help please before I go mad....

how does it do this when the skybox is turned off?
Do you mean you put the skybox on stand by, then when you turn it back on it gives you this message?

it can only be a bad connection in one of the joints, got through them and recheck them nice and tight

Hi yes sorry - its when I put it in standby, have just read up and found out that i go into settings to see the signal strength and "lock indicators" it shows line 1 as "not locked" so just in process of re-connecting.. still dont understand how it would work one minute and not the next tho after putting on standby !!!
