    Morning folks

    Today I
    * will be cleaning the flat from top to bottom, it's got to look shiny and sparkly for a visitor I am expecting tomorrow
    * got tons of washing to do and will then hang outside to line-dry
    * got some work to do with my fishtank (setting up filter and heater which I have)
    * need to do a meal-plan for the week

    :heartpuls CG :heartpuls
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

its the little things like having a no spend day that makes the biggest DFW difference

have a good day vegging out :D

Thanks oops a daisy, if something spectacular doesn't happen every day I get disappointed. Typical woman I suppose. :rotfl:
  • I have just cancelled my weight-watchers subscription which will save me £6.95 a month. I am in the process of searching my Council's website to see if I can find the form online for claiming the single-occupant's discount for Council Tax, and after that I am going to buy a pre-payment certificate for my prescriptions.

Hi everyone. Don't worry GirlRacer we all have better DFW days than others from time to time. Remember having a NSD is pretty much the crux of it all anyway!

As for me, I haven't done too much myself but what I have done is:

    - Some online C & S
    - Some washing that is drying on the line
    - Grocery shopping which came in £6 under the weekly budget, and this even included a few things that are useful but weren't on the list, woo hoo!
    - Will make dinner later from groceries we bought for yesterday however we were invited over to BF's parents for Easter Sunday dinner which was delicious!

That's it, not much really but something.

By the way hypno, you've probably got every pasta recipe under the sun but just in case you've not done this, I sometimes:

Chop up some courgette, red onion, ripe tomatoes and plonk them in a semi deep roasting tray. (You can use red peppers, aubergines or any veggies you like really.)

Drizzle them in olive oil with black pepper & dried herbs then roast them for about 35 - 40 minutes at about 200 degrees (sorry but I don't know what that is in gas...).

When they are all tender & yummy, stir in some cooked pasta - rigatoni or penne works quite nicely - and a big dollop of soya cream but if you aren't vegan (my BFF doesn't drink cow's milk) then just use whatever you like. But the cream is not essential anyway.

Very filling, very cheap and very healthy!

You could always make a big veggie type soup and stir in broken spaghetti pieces about 15 minutes from the end too, to make a minestrone type soup.

Mind you, as I say, you probably know all this anyway! :)

May iron later, am putting on washing late tonight to make use of cheaper electic...why not when I don't have work in the morning anyway!

well returning to the post is my first thing - as i haven't posted for a while,
a meeting is held here tonight at my house and i get an allowance of just over £9 to hold it here and there are two lots - 1 is 6 weeks and 1 is 9 weeks so a nice sum for just having a tidy house and letting them use my downstairs and make themselves a cuppa (not using my stuff)!! i will get it all in a lump sum and use it to pay off a cc
