Another day off :j
So why not let us know what small step you will be making today on your debt free journey.
This could be something that you think of as insignificant in the bigger scheme of things, but actually, it is forming good habits and helping to chip away at that debt, and to help us stay debt free when we (finally!) get there.
So today I will be:
- slow roasting a leg of lamb that someone gave me when they were clearing out their freezer, with rosemary grown in the garden. YUM!!
- going to the football this afternoon (come on you Yellows!) using free tickets given to us by friends of my son who can't make the match.
- paying my car boot proceeds from yesterday directly off my Egg card
- enjoying the fabulous sunshine for free
- making my "pasta week" meal plan. Consisting of mainly.....PASTA:rolleyes:
Have a good day everyone x

Well Easter Monday brings more football, and I was debating going to Northampton's game against my team Scunthorpe, but i'm redirecting my £16 ticket price, plus petrol money approximately £28, to a family day out which is £28 plus a tenner for petrol. I know it's still spending, but I guess I feel better that it's at least the four of us sharing the experience, rather than spending the whole lot of it on myself. I'm back to work tomorrow, so it's the last day that I can spend with the children, before back to the grind in the morning.0

Just walked the dog and rather than buy a bottle of water in the shop half way round I kept the water bottler from yesterday, washed it out and took some water from home. Little thing but made me smile all the same - 50p saved
Will be doing my own ironing later (used to pay soemone to do it), and eating out of the cupboards instead of pub lunch.0 -
Today I am -
Mking a chicken & veg soup from yesterdays chicken carcass and left over veggies
Ging on a long walk in the sunshine for exercise.
Putting a load of washing on a cold cycle and then hanging them out in the sunshine.
Joining Blockbusters online after finding their free DVDs Trial for a month code.
Wrapping up a few Ebay parcels.
That's what I have planned for today, have a great bank holiday y'all.

Strictly, I'd put this under yesterday's thread, but..
My car's screen wash has been broken and leaking for weeks, so yesterday I went round the local scrapyard, pulled some valves out of an old model (for FIVE pounds), and fitted them to replace the leaky valves I had. Screenwash now works beautifully, and I saved at least fifty quid against having a garage do it for me.
Today though, there's a car boot near me, so I'll be hunting for stuff to eBay off :j
Also with the checking online banking, to see if my client's payment came through. (On an Easter weekend, I doubt it, but you never know)

Today - we are eating 'pot luck' from the freezer and cupboard. I'm going to work in the garden and NOT go out! Will be asleep this afternoon as am doing a bank night shift tonight so my only 'outlay' today will be the petrol needed to get to work (18 miles away) but since there is petrol in the car already (thanks to petrol prices for cheapest supplier) NO SPEND DAY TODAY :T
Saying that, will also be a NO SPEND day tomorrow as I will be asleep :rotfl:
Much easier this week as my son is at his dad's for the week !!!Learning valuable lessons everyday - made all the easier by the folks on here and my amazing family :T
Life is better - now time to save for son's future :T0 -
Today im going to be staying in the house (its pouring with rain here
) at least it should be a no spend day
Going to list some things on ebay and try and clear out some of the stuff thats not good enough for ebay and put it into the car boot box
Will do some ironing later on to try and free up space on my couch
Will also enter some competitions later on

Have read all your posts today and feel a bit of a disappointment. Got no plans whatsoever for the Bank Holiday, but I am having a NSD.0
