HDMI ports (extensions)

Hello there

In the back of my tv I have 2 HDMI ports. We also have a ps3, Wii, DVD player and sky box which take 4, so you can see my problem.

What im looking for is something maybe to put into 1 port that has extensions or something so all 4 items are plugged in and eliminating the pulling out plugs and swapping them over all the time

You need an HDMI switch or switcher - there's plenty at Amazon, Maplin and other similar retailers

A switch is indeed what you need. You do need to be a little careful though as you can at times have issues with the HDCP handshake when using switches

Your PS3 uses HDMI, your Sky box (is it Sky HD?) might, you DVD player probably doesn't unless it's an upscaler and your Wii definitely doesn't. So that's us down to 3 ports. You can play DVDs on a PS3 and get rid of the DVD player and NOT buy a switch, and buy a remote control for the PS3 for £20 instead?

or just use the ps3 controller when you are watching a dvd and save another £20!

IIRC a Wii uses a Scart interface.
