Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been answered before but can't seem to find the thread!!
I have a £4,500 MandS credit card and have requested a balance transfer onto the Barclaycard Platinum credit card as you guys recommended
I have been successful and my new card has turned up etc.
Am I meant to contact Barclaycard about the transfer or M&S? Does it just happen automatically? Sorry, new to all of this and wanted to check!
thanks for your help guys,
Anna

If you put the balance transfer as part of the application for the new account, then this should go through ; however the timing of how long this will take is often the unknown..
What they do always advise \ remind is to ensure that you continue with the contractually due payments on the other card until such a time that the balance shows clear..
i.e. Do not cancel the direct debit or not pay the account just because the BT is going through -- if you assume that it will complete after the next statement date then you will not be caught out..0 -
that's what I thought! phew!
I'll keep checking both statements online then. Thanks for your help0
