Please bear with me as I'm seething with rage and currently have a toddler climbing all over me....
My husband has a Littlewoods account as it's the only way we can afford to get big things. I log onto the account this morning to see an erroneous transaction of £79.00. My DH quickly rings them to find out whats going on, to be told it's for an extended warranty. It seems they sent us a letter about it, and if they don't hjear back from you they opt-you in!
Is this legal? Is there anyone I can contact about it?
I'm fuming as they ask you at checkout if you want insurance and I ALWAYS tick 'No Thanks'.
Thanx for your time. Jo xx.

Hi Swirley,
We can look into this for you. We would not add a new service guarantee to the account without your permission however we do automatically renew any service guarantees when they expire.
In this instance it sounds like a older service guarantee has been renewed rather than a brand new one added to the account.
If you would like to email us at Help@littlewoods.co.uk then we can look into this with our Insurance team. Alternatively you can contact the Insurance team directly on 0844 822 4675 where they are open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 8pm.
Hope this helps
Dave
