Switch to Electric shower

I have a non electric shower which runs off the hot water tank, but I am sick of the family using the hot water and I get no shower! How expensive, or disruptive is it to change my MIra shower to an electric one, and does it mean tiles have to be removed etc. I have no replacement tiles, and the bathroom was brand new 2 years ago!
Many thanks in advance.

The plumbing should not be too difficult as your cold water supply pipe will already be in place.

However a bigger problem might be the electrical supply. Even the lowest rated shower at 8.5kW will require heavy duty wiring and a 40 amp RCB(trip) fitted at the fuse box. It can be quite an undertaking and difficult to do without disturbing tiles.
