Hi Fudgie
I have read all your diary and you inspired me to join the forum and start my own diary. You bounce back from your lows and work so hard to keep going that it gives me the courage to try harder with my own finances. Thank you and keep going! I wll subscribe as soon as I work out which button to press!
Regards

I am back, from another one of my inexplicable absences! No, I am not batman. I didn't receive any emails while I was away telling me anyone had written so thanks everyone.

Thanks for the compliment October Starter, I'm really pleased if I have inspired you to start your own diary, mine has been invaluable for me, I will find yours and if I can help then I will. I like that you think I'm bouncing back, I've always considered myself to be shambling through life with varied results.
I remember PLMBL writing this on her diary (I had to look this up obviously as my memory is atrocious):
There are 3 choices in life;
Give up
Give in
Give it all you've got.
I have always had a fourth option:
Get into bed for a couple of weeks for a good mope.
If I could cut all the moping out, my life would be blooming marvellous. I was doing really well the week after I wrote my last post, and even managed to lose another 2.5lbs bringing my weight loss up to 11lbs (insert jumping smilie here, for some reason my computer won't let me). However, last weekend my sister and her family came to see me and as she has three children under the age of five spending time with them is like being in a barrel of monkeys. We had a lovely, exhausting, weekend, but I spent £85 which knocked my budget profoundly off course. I also ate an enormous amount of rubbish and I then really struggled to get back into my diet routine. The whole thing left me feeling really out of control which is when I feel at my worst.
On Sunday I ate a whole bag of Swizzels' Chunky Chompable Chews. On Monday, like a crack addict, I went into Tesco and bought another bag of Swizzels' chompable chews. On Tuesday, you guessed it, I went into Tesco and bought another bag of Swizzels' chompable chews. I was feeling quite ill on Wednesday and Thursday so I recovered myself somewhat, however... On Friday I bought another bag of Swizzels' chompable chews on the off chance some lost Trick or Treaters decided to trouble an inner city flat with confusing buzzers on a dark night. When this gang of mythical children failed to appear, I ate nearly another whole bag. In fact, I ate so many chompable chews I've qualified for a free tin. Every cloud and all that...
The good news is that I only gained 1 pound, no idea how I got away with that one, and I seem to be back to normal so my plan is to be very good this week to compensate.
Moneywise, I've been paid since I last posted! I'm a bit confused with where I was up to last time I posted so it's simpler to say:
I paid DB £200.
I paid Barclaycard some money and I now owe them £900.
I have a bit of a confession, I spent money on gig tickets for a few things I simply couldn't miss, so my Barclaycard has seen a bit of action, to the tune of £100 (insert several hundred embarrassed smilies here). This has set me back £100 on my repayments but I'm unrepentant because I really care about the things I am going to see and everyone needs a bit of slack now and then. It means I have £45 until I get paid on the 14th which I should be able to stick to as I have no plans next weekend. When I get paid I will:
Pay DB the other £200 I owe him, which will be the debt cleared.
Pay BC £300 leaving £600 to be paid.
Obviously I need to start worrying about Christmas presents but I lack the energy to do that at present. I blame the population boom in my family. Makes me ill just thinking about it.Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.
O/D £500. Weight loss: 12/28lbs
Savings owed [STRIKE] £3000 [/STRIKE] now £2250
Total debt: [STRIKE] £6760 [/STRIKE] now £54400 -
Hi FF *waves*
I am with you on the Christmas list just getting longer and longer and not being able to face it
I am usually quite organised but this year I've no motivation for it all
!
Well done on losing the weight and i'll just gloss over all the chompable chews as I've also been very naughty over the last few weeks
there have been so many offers on my favourite treats lately that I've spent a small fortune on chocolates
I keep blaming it on the time of the month, feeling tired, feeling sorry for myself (for what ever reason) and many other flimsy excuses. Truth is i'm just a piggy and love chocolate

I'm another piggy, I've been totally out of control this week and need to reign it in. I do need to know what Chompable Chews are though, they have escaped me thus far!!
Option 4 sounds like Heaven to me right now!!

I blame Mr A, Mr S and Mr T for the sweet treats! I have bought tonnes in Mr A and keep pigging out on them!! Today it was treat sized Her0s. OMG..treat sized = easily eat loads and don't realise until the packet is empty sized

Keep going! So glad you are back!
