Sorry to put a dampener on this, but Samsung generally make OKish digital cameras. They may have many advanced features, but picture quality, shutter lag, amongst other key things are usually not up to scratch. One will be much better off getting a really good make/model with half the specs even.
If you can find a reasonably good & in-depth review (not a single page one) for the S1030 at one or more of these sites it may be worth it. Otherwise don't bother. G
