Syncing Iphone notes with Android Tablet

I've just got a new Nexus 7 Android Tablet and have figured out how to get most things to sync with my Iphone and Macbook Pro. The one thing I can't seem to get though is how to sync the notes from my Iphone. I don't know where they're stored as I don't use outlook or anything like that anymore but I do use gmail. I've checked in the notes bit of my Gmail account but they're not showing up there. Some older ones do however show up on my laptop on Mail. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can go about trying to get them on my Nexus? It's not a huge deal, it would just be convenient if my Iphone and Nexus matched those too. Thanks for any help.
