Help please!
My youngest daughter against her dads advice, took her Samsung Galaxy SII to Turkey and lost it in the last few hours before coming home. Yes I have insurance through" Protect your bubble". I reported the loss and had the phone blocked within thirty minutes of the loss and luckily it had a keypad lock on as well. I called The insurers today and they have asked for the crime ref number? eh its not stolen its lost! and we have paid for the loss extension on the policy. But the policy does say it has to be reported. She couldn't report the loss because they were in Icmeler and attended the local police station but were told to go to Marmaris. They couldn't do this because they were waiting to be picked up by the transfer company to take them to the airport. The question is how can I get the reference number from the Police in Marmaris when the telephone number is constantly engaged. Is there an email address? anyone had a similar experience?:(

We have just had a very similar experience...in turkey less than 18 hours, our hire car was hit from behind when we had properly and correctly stopped at a red light...he drove off and despite having taken his car reg no, no one interested...in hospital for over 2 days, returned to our villa and the window bars were ripped off the wall and window jemmied allowing however many to enter the villa. We were in bed asleep and the police and locals says organised gangs are spraying a chemical/gas into sleeping peoples faces to knock them out...none of us woke up despite the thieves taking phones from out of my ears in my case, and from the side of others in their case. Money, 4 phones, all credit and debit cards all gone plus my kindle and ds lite and a watch that was a Christmas presnet. Rang police and lloyds tsb at around 4am thanks to a turkish neighbour and his phone. Police attended at 4am then 10am. Told by AXA rep we needed only a police report by helpline(AXA in Barcelona). Got the report after a full day back and to the police station with people trying to interpret...gets home and contacts LLoyds TSB again on night of 8/10...now asking for a crime reference no...told them its Turkey and AXA in Barcelona(helpline) told me police report sufficient. Had to ring our local police to get a crime ref no..they were as noneplussed as me by the request....this has been a hugely stressful week and feel like I've done nothing but jump through hoops and am on the point of a nervous breakdown. We had to exist from Friday moring till we flew home on Monday night on nothing but a few lira (50 TL) given us by a turkish person. Back home and still no replacement cards and no phones ...its a nightmare. Anyone from Lloyds/representatives on here for advice please? Please please try to simplify the process....0
