You can research charities in a tome in the library"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

How large is the oxygen, the one's that my friend has for her baby are about the size of her baby, so would easily fit beside the baby in the car?"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

You'll be alright. I've seen them carried on motorbikes.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Although they can't give you a grant for a car, you might be able to get some additional help from The Family Fund (e.g. for a pram/buggy) and then find other money for a bigger car if you decide you need one. They helped us with costs of public transport when I couldn't drive after the c/section.
Also, contact your local Council and ask about the Blue Badge Scheme - carrying oxygen can be considered 'carrying medical equipment' and you may be eligible for a badge (it seems to be council dependent).
But although it's good to plan, don't give up hope yet for her coming off the oxygen before leaving hospital. We were warned that our son (also 3m prem) would probably come home on O2 at his pre-discharge meeting one week ahead; we think he must have been listening because later that day, he removed his own nasal cannula and threw them out of the cot. The nurse decided to see how he coped (monitoring him)and he never went back onto oxygen

He may simply be misguided as to what he thinks he can get.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
