Help Resizing Images for Digital Photo Frame

Hi,
I have the Aigo A396 digital photo frame and when viewing photos on it, they appear distorted and stretched. When I contacted Aigo customer support, they told me to resize the image to 480 × 234 pixels. I’ve tried this, but get a ridiculously tiny image, which is even more distorted than before! Usually I would be able to work this out for myself, but it’s really baffling me for some reason
Can anyone tell me what I need to resize the images to and what’s the easiest way to do it?
I would be grateful for any advice please!
Many thanks
Ally

what software are you using tend to resize using https://www.irfanview.com/0

I've been using Image Cropper http://www.darkwood.demon.co.uk/PC/crop.htm0

Can't say I am familiar with this software. I would try Infanview - it's freeware
If it does not work simply remove it0 -
Thanks for that. I've downloaded Infanview now, but still don't have a clue about the size or aspect ratio - any ideas?0

Open the image in Irfanview, then click Resize/Resample. Untick 'Preserve aspect ratio' and enter required width and height.0

I feel really stupid now... how do I know what width and height to enter? It's definitley not what Aigo said. I've tried just reducing the width, but I'm just guessing really.0

According to the spec. it is 480 x 234 pixels. If you Untick 'Preserve aspect ratio' the resized image will be distorted. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
