using grass seed
Hi, just looking for a few opinions, I have some grass seed I have not yet put on my bald patches, last put some on a couple of weeks ago which has now come through.
I think it may be a little late to get growth this year, or am I wrong, if I do put it in now and it doesn't germinate, might it in the spring ?
Or should I just leave it in my shed and use it in the spring /
Thanks

Hi just replying to your grass seed question, yes you can put it down now, providing you dont get any frost, rake the patch to brake up the soil, sow your seed, then lightly rake over. Lightly water in after four days if no rain comes, Although thinking ab out it, the amount of rain weve had this year, plan B, leaven it in the shed till next spring.0

Me too, almost the same date. Except I could not understand why one small patch was not growing. This evening I found out why. Slugs. The rotters have been munching on grass shoots. So you might want to put down slug pellets if you also have slugs.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
