Dell Laptops

Options
Hi Guys

Im thinking of getting a new laptop. Im a student so budget is around £400. I've hear a few good things about Dell. I want a model with a wireless capabilty, the usual microsoft works programs, playing games and downloading music (legally of course) etc

What are most people's experiences with Dell?

I'm thinking of getting Inspiron 1501 or Inspiron 6400 on the link below:

Any advice on which is the best deal.

Thanks for all your help

My mom got the Inspiron 1501 at £329. The laptop is only used for internet browsing and typing up documents on Microsoft Word.

The laptop is slow, but will do for what she wants it.

Remember to go through quidco.com and you could get some cash back!

There is a Dell factory outlet for slightly damaged/scratched pc's, with, obviously, reduced prices. Might be worth a look. Sadly, I've managed to lose the link, but a trawl round ought to find it, on E-Bay of course, what isn't nowadays.

For what it's worth, Dell's tech support dept advise buying the 6400 as it's a top seller and in a couple of years when it goes wrong they will still have parts immediately available, unlike with some slower sellers where you may have to wait. However their prices are well up from 2 weeks ago for the same spec.
