Fair price for Legal Fees for 'new build' home (Scotland)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea of what I should be paying legal fees wise for a 'new build' house with a value of £112,000? I am happy enough (I think?) to be paying approx £150+ vat for the survey but am unsure if "no more than £800 (including VAT)" is a fair price for the other legal bits and pieces- fees, searches etc? Can anyone offer advice please? This quote is with a well known West of Scotland legal firm. Much appreciated. NB- Scottish system different.

Hi i'm in the west of scotland too. Is this your first home or have you sold to move up? If it's the latter bare in mind that you'll have to pay for them to sell your old and buy your new home.

If not i would be looking to pay £500-£600

P.S Where are you buying round here for £112,000??

    Hope that helps.

    Have you tried https://www.conveyancingdirect.co.uk

They are based in Glasgow, I used them a couple of years ago, all business was conducted by telephone/post.

No Hassle whatsoever and they were around 30% cheaper than any local firms.

You can also get an online quote.

    Hope this helps.
