Orange, Kaspersky and DNS

MY mate has just bought a laptop, kaspersky Internet Suite 6 and has a broadband connection to orange via the live box.

He has loaded the Kaspersky no problems however when he tries to set up the broadband kaspersky pops up a message similar to threat dns resolver error.

It then disappears - the computer does nothing - any thoughts on whats happening.

I would suggest uninstalling KAV, sort out the connection and reinstal it.

That's the route we have gone down. After reading the small print the orange disc is not compatible with Vista.

I think a call to orange is the next step.

the broadband connection should be usable with any os - the software that they send out might not be though. You will probably have to manually configure the connection and if I remember correctly you have to press a couple of buttons on the router to let it allow new mac addresses.
