fancy a plasma or lcd for pc

Hi I have a PC with a cordless mouse and keyboard and an LCD monitor in front of me, pretty standard stuff, but for ages I have fancied a massive screen to use for my PC. I would like to put it away from my desk a little way, say 3m (due to room layout).

I spend a lot of time at the PC hunched over the desk and it just seems to make sense that if I had a large monitor further away it would be nicer, ie I could swivel my office chair round to face the big screen, put my cordless keyboard on my lap and with one arm controling the mouse on the desk and feet up on the desk, very comfortable. With the screen being big ie 37 or 42inch I would have no problem reading anything at a distance, and I wouldn't come away with an aching back.

But how would I supply the screen, would I be able to use the vga lead that goes to the monitor from the back of the PC (obviously a longer one though)? I have noticed many plasmas and LCD's have a vga connection, but would a cable of possibly 5m be ok or is it too long or would it suffer too many losses or something? I say 5m because obviously I would want to hide the cable on route as much as possible.

Can anyone see any problems with this senario? Seems the way to go, when ever you see futeristic films they always look like they are in some dentist chair reclined back touching holograms in the air. Seems comfortable if nothing else.

If its comfort you're after maybe a better chair would be a cheaper option? :)

5m for the cable should be fine. and yep pretty much all LCDs have a vga connection, some have dvi too. Get a panel that has 1:1 pixel mapping so you get the best possible picture from your PC. Toshiba's are pretty good at this from what i remember reading.
    I'm better off without you.

out of interest is there a way I could split the vga so that I could keep the desktop lcd whilst using the plasma on the wall, ie one output to two screens without changing the video card for a twin output?
