I currently subscribe to a well known consumer organisation, which provide reviews of things, then publishes this stuff in a members' magazine and website.
I intend to cancel the subscription in the name of cutting down. I will of course have all the magazines to return to, but I'll lose access to the website.
Is there a viable way to download the contents of the webiste for future reference? Of course it will soon become out-of-date, but may be useful for a while...

There are applications for doing it but it works in a similar way to Google's spidering program and so if there is any orphaned content (pages not linked to by any other pages) then you wont be able to get them as the application won't be able to find them.
Some are certainly better than others when it comes to finding images in CSS files etc so make sure you turn off your network/ internet connection and test the pages load correctly before assuming its a job done.0 -
Simple one click exercise in Adobe Acrobat if you have the full version (ie not Acrobat reader). Might be an option in one of the free PDF creator software you can download.
Might be in breach of their copyright rules though - might want to check that before doing it.Legal team on standby0 -
Never knew that about Acrobat (dont use it often). Out of curiosity does it create 1 PDF per page it finds or creates one document? Do links between the pages work in the PDFs?0

It's only right to point out that such activity on copyrighted websites is very naughty.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -

That would depend on the websites terms of use, however any website that charges a subscription fee is likely to have terms of use that prohibit broad scale downloading and storage of their contents.0 -
For mac 'site sucker' (from app store) rips the whole site.
Any page containing php cannot be ripped.0
