Car Insurance - What To Do?

No I've had this before on a claim involving NIG where the original owner sold his car to his mate, forgot to cancel his insurance, but his plonker of a mate didn't botgher to insure it. Accident happened and so we proceeded against the insurer that came up on MID search.
Long & short of it was that becasue proof of sale and change of registered keeper could be shown, it ended up in the hands of the MIB who dealt with it.
I might be missing something but RTA insurer obligations arise from s148 & 151/152 and I can't see anything in either of those that limits or removes the RTA insurer obligation just because the vehicle concerned has been sold rather than than lent (with or without change of RK)0 -
thanx for your replies.. This is what I did.. I get 7 days free insurance on my new car. During those 7 days, my old car is still insuranced by my current insurance provider (insurance provider's recommendation) After the 7 days, my current insurance provider will insure my new car.
Luckily my old car was still insured as their was a day's delay in getting my new car!Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140
