Hi,
We've just updated our eBay buying guide. It's not linked to anywhere yet, so is there anything you think we should add/update first?
Any thoughts/sense checks from the experts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

#10 could also read, "haggling on an item which the seller has not marked as best offer could lead to you being bunged straight on their blocked bidder list" (often does with me - because people who ask for a discount pre-purchase are often nightmare buyers).
#22 could you put this in six foot high letters lol: in summary, avoid businesses posing as private sellers because they are trying to take away your consumer rights! They may be a few pence cheaper but you will find the value of those few pence if you want to return the item!
#31 again, fine...until you want to return the item. Tracked to China costs. You. So it may be a cheap bargain or it may be a completely false economy. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
Number 8, I agree with most of that but if an item is at a start price you would not be willing to go higher than, then a late bid may see someone else getting it for that price by bidding early.
It is worth mentioning the Ebay smartphone/iphone app, alerts for ending items, being outbid and saved searches are immediately alerted to. It is also useful for searching and refining searches. The app is free and you can also use it to pay direct from Paypal..0 -
Huge thanks guys, I will update. Please let me know if you spot anything else
