The note taker should have been reminded of their role!
The chair should have brought in the investigating officer to deliver their findings and get the hearing under way, then it should have been you dealing with the chair who hopefully was impartial.
Was there an HR presence to provide the chair with advice and ensure procedural compliance?
What was the outcome?
no there was the proprieter and the 'note taker' who is a manager of one of the other homes in the company. both sat either side of me and basically backed each others points of view up. they said they were also taping the hearing on a dictaphone
they practically accused me of colluding with other suspended staff which i would never do. i said my piece and discredited almost all of their 'evidence' but apparantly this isnt good enough and i will have to wait further weeks until the outcome has been finalised.Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. oh i forgot to add, they also told me during the disciplinary hearing that the service user was yet to be interviewed by a member of adult care and support regarding his allegation. i thought the whole point of a disciplinary procedure was to come to a conclusion, not to further investigate. it seems to me they arent following anything they should procedure wise. is there anything i can do? or do i just wait it out for a decision then appeal?
