An accident thats your fault - how would you respond?

We haven't said anything to the woman apart from saying we are now going to go through insurance. When my daughter agreed to £30 she didn't mention anything about the lad driving, so there was no blackmail. My daughter was under the impression that the woman thought she hadn't noticed who was driving. The woman even said to my husband when he went out to have a look "it was my fault, I bashed into the back of her" as though to further make the point that it was actually her that was driving. My daughter didn't disagree.0

Forget the £30 and go to the police. It will teach her a lesson for trying to commit fraud, and then trying to stitch your daughter up.0
