Do DECT cordless phones work in India?

Hi guys...

I wanted to find out whether the assortment of DECT phones available will be able to work in India at all? Or will I have to look around for analouge cordless phones?

I think the issue is more of a spectrum one. In Europe the DECT spectrum is reserved across all countries - DECT is a European standard. That may not be the case in India so you may find that their use is illegal and may cause interference. It may also be that DECT phones sold in India use a differenct frequency than in Europe. Of course it may be that India uses the same as Europe and that there is no problem.
