Selling an item to someone else with winners agreement

I'm hoping for some advice please as to the best was to go about this.
I sold a couple of items on ebay yesterday that can be paired together but do not have to be. The person that won the first item missed the second one (due to being distracted) but asked me to contact the winner of that to see if they would agree them having it. The person who won the second item has agreed to this.
My question is how do I show this on ebay so as the second person won't show up as not paying or anything else negative. Second offer would not be appropriate as the other person did not bid on the item.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, I can't believe you told a genuine winner that they couldn't have the item, and that they agreed!
Send them a request to cancel the sale so you get a FVF & so they can't leave you feedback.
However, you run the risk of them refusing to cancel & leaving you neg FB if they're a bit miffed about the whole situation.0 -
Thanks for your advice. Is there an official way to request the sale cancelled or should I just send a message? I can't see anything on the actions list.
Just for info, I asked her what she thought and told her I was absolutely happy to go through the sale with her. She was bidding on both items but got outbid on the first one.0 -
You can cancel the sale and re list as a buy now for the new seller to buy straight away.
Hope the original winner of the item is courteous to you and leaves you with a positive feedback but just because they have said yes it does not mean they will leave a good feedback!
If you asked me that I would not be the one to cancel the sale and have that recorded against my account, I would insist that you the seller cancelled the sale.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

OP will need to actually go through the resolve an issue section to close this transaction- OP you need to do a mutual to recover your fees. If buyer agrees that is fine, although they can still leave feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. A mutual is where both buyer and seller agree to cancel a transaction, the resolve a problem procedure allows you to do that or a full NPB.
If you don't get the transaction cancelled you still have to pay all the FVFs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
