here's an update still having problems with some of my discs its saying cannot read from source file or disk any idea what that means and can i rectify it or not...0

Could be a dirty disk.
This was a common issue a few years back and is symptomatic of data being burned too quickly.
You could try the disks in another machine and see if that drive has any more luck.0 -
when i look at the 'files on disc' it shows everything but when i try to copy them it says that, could it be a dirty disc drive or is more likely to be the disc as you said.
it will copy some things and not others0 -
Try giving the disk a wipe, from the inside outwards, don't go round in circles.
I have never given much credence to drive cleaners.
I take it you can hear it keep accelerating and slowing down, perhaps a few clicks and clunks too?
I would try it in another drive (PC) if you have access to one.0
