Hi
hope this is ok to ask a paypal Q.
I would like to pay for a car through paypal and would like to know if there is an additional paypal charge for using a credit card instead of a debit card.
Thanks
Edit: just found the answer...3.4% + 20p charge for credit card!

Its free for the buyer if you are paying an invoice for goods (seller would pay the 3.4% + 20p).

or are you doing a personal transfer (gift)? In which case, you lose any buyer protection, but either side can pay the 3.4% + 20p.0 -
Went to see the car today and the dealer only been open for 2 months and has not got card machine (waiting on it...he's been told will take 2/3 wks for del) he said I could pay through paypal and that it would be safer for me and people actually prefer this.
So, would he have to pay the 3.4% + 20p.

Yes he would pay, he should send you an invoice 'for goods'.
Or you can log into your Paypal. On the Send money tab it will say 'This is a purchase for' - goods (in the note to seller, list what the payment is for).0 -
