Why would he be winding us up?
Why are you such morons that always think the worst of people?
I remember receiving similar treatment when I first came to the forum until I had built up a little history.
Also, when I recommended a friend to this place to ask a genuine question, he got nothing but abuse.
You should grow up a little. If you have nothing to add to the thread, don't bother posting.
I didn't realise Martin stipulated that peoples right to a decent response was means tested... not that you have that right to decide anyway.

Think about what you have spent....card transactions can take from a few days up to many weeks to appear on your statement due to the fact retailers do not claim the money straight away.
When people pay with their card they assume the money comes out straight away....it doesnt...Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no.435- Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :cool:0 -
But it says ATM,doesn't that mean it came out of a machine ?Think about what you have spent....card transactions can take from a few days up to many weeks to appear on your statement due to the fact retailers do not claim the money straight away.

I don't see anything odd at all about a fraudulent overseas ATM transaction (or even two) which therefore translate into an amount in pence, not whole pounds.
And I don't see why furlong says
as direct debit is about the LEAST likely way of using bank details fraudulently, as direct debits can only be initiated by reputable business banking customers and the money can be so easily traced and recovered.usually it would be a strange direct debit you'd suspect of a fraud scam!!!
Most fraudulent banking transactions involve either phishing (obtaining bank details fraudulently and then transferring the money out of the account by online BACS transfers) or use of cards, either in ATMs or for dodgy purchases.0 -
Some cash points charge a fee for withdrawing cash, but I am guessing £4.80 (£65 + withdrawal fee = £69.80) is more than normal for taking out cash.

Don't they normally show the fee as a separate transaction though?0 -
For goodness' sake, enough with the random speculation! It's almost definitely in foreign currency and hence the pence don't mean it's unusual at all.0
