OMG the thing that confuses me is how can they withdraw£9.80p from a cash point ?

It could be a withdrawal made abroad and when its converted to pounds it comes out as 69.80

I assume youve not been abroad then ?

    Contact your bank ASAP.

Don't most have a 24 hour call centre for suspected fraud?

hi,no i havent been abroad since last august, though i never even used my switch card once!!!,i did contact the bank they suspect my card has been copied, but its the atm method that is troubling me,usually it would be a strange direct debit you'd suspect of a fraud scam!!!,im really confussed!

If your card has been copied, someone's used it at an ATM abroad to withdraw cash. That also indicates they have your PIN though, so you've probably fallen victim to a scam where ATMs are equipped with cameras and card skimming devices capturing your PIN as well as your card's magnetic strip.

Card cloning is far more common now that unauthorised direct debits.

When you called the bank and they said they suspected your card has been copied did they actually do anything about it like start the fraud process or cancel your card? If not get back on the phone to then and insist they do this. Ask them where the transaction took place.

TBH if they didn't start the fraud investigation process and cancel the card I'd be looking for another bank.

or, looking at the number of the posts the OP has made on MSE, this could be just a wind up/p*ss take along the lines of this post along similarish lines :

could be the same person "having fun"

Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

Why would you think that? I think it's bit unfair of you to judge this new member so harshly. I took his query at face value and see no link with one that you quote.

note the words could be in my post. Also on the same day withdrawals at .00 pence and at .80 pence ?

not being harsh - just offering another possibility.
