    Good morning, all.

Many thanks to everyone who willed us to get through yesterday with the right outcome. DH had been warned to expect another 90-minute medical, but he was out in much less time, and the good news is that he has been declared medically unfit for his present job (slow reaction times are definitely bad for safety-critical work which requires quick decisions and multi-tasking!) though still employable in other areas of the company. This morning he will be going in to see his boss to discuss his next move.

There are some company jobs in this area for which his skill set might be in demand, otherwise we could find ourselves moving house. As long as any move takes us nearer my children and grandchildren, I would be in favour - much as I love my present home. We've been here 3 years and just settled down and begun to feel part of the local community, but I miss seeing my kids more often!

Anyway, after a busy but non-flying day yesterday, I will do my best to clear the study this afternoon. First I have to prepare a guided tour of our cathedral for a group of overseas visitors this morning, so my first job will be to get out my duster and polish up my German.

Big (((hugs))) to all who need them today.

  • Morning all, kids nearly all decluttered to school. Lucky crying at the door but i can't let her in until boys go to school.
DS3's playgroup uniform washed and drying at the minute, that boy seems to put more food down his front instead of in his mouth. :rotfl:

Jo glad you got your stuff back.
Kazm he was KH for awhile, we had another one of those summers and split up. He now lives down the lane with his mum and dad but comes up and see's the kids most evenings. Then he upgraded to KD because he got a job and paid back all the money he owed me, he's also trying hard to make it up to the kids. :D

Right i best keep shouting at these boys to hurry up.

Been lurking in the shadows for yonks - need to get my finger out as I've been away for the weekend, leaving OH and DS and DD to fend for themselves. Bless him, he did TRY and keep on top of things. All the washing is done and the bed is stripped, however he is a 95% kinda guy. Guess it's up to me to put the duvet back on and dry the washing (sigh). Good luck to everyone. Must also try and fit in HHAdmin/phonecalls today too.
