Stuck In Boot Menu on laptop

Hi
My laptop froze, so I pressed control alt delete.
Now it's taken me to the Boot Menu, and I don't know what to press to get me out of it.
I'm not v techie as you can prob guess, any help would be much appreciated.

The Power button for an extended time.
Make and model? 0 -
Try HDD/SSD.
If not, as suggested, hold the power button pressed until it powers off then try powering back on.0 -
I tried pressing the power button and it just comes back to this boot menu. It's a Toshiba Satellite

Best case scenario is you have a corrupt file that is stopping it booting, worse case you need a new hard drive. Either way, if you have a friend or know someone in the know it may be worth asking if they'd take a look.
There are a few things that can be done such as running diagnostics on the hard drive like spinrite.
How old is the laptop? Any remaining warranty on it?
Does it make any strange sounds when you switch it on?0 -
