Hi all
Just wondered if anyone had come across this before. Just noticed that on my elderly Fathers bank statement a DD payment to Aftercare. This payment started May this year, but has been taking payments of £12.50 per month, sometimes two payments at the same time [two lots of £12.50], and now a payment of £6.50 per month for Satcare.
At age 92, confined to home with oxygen dependancy he is adamant no DD was singed. Unfortunately last week, when their washing machine packed up, his wife [My mum] called them and they said they couldn't send an engineer out because they hadnt paid enough in, she, unfortunately [age 88] gave them a payment of £88, and nothing heard since. Total taken out of their bank [Barclays!!] is £250.
Has anyone heard of this organisation and how can moneys be taken without a written authority. Any help hear guys before I wade into Barclays Monday. Its really stressing them out.
Thanks
Fuggs

No idea on that company, But they phone and hint they are from SKY and offer a cheap price to insure their box for faults.
Take CC details over the phone so nothing needs to be signed. Someone gave them the card detail to take the payment.
If you dont want it then cancel it.
If you think they are charging for services not provided you need to apply for a full itemised statement.
Then is its not in order make an official complaint.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Do your parents have sky?
Sat care is one of the co's that usually inply that they are sky and you need to take out cover on dish etc in case it breaks down.
Of course this is already provided by sky.
This is usually a cold call. Can you find out when they had it and also if they have recieved any paperwork?
Not really a scam as such, but a crafty double up of cover.
You need to educate them NEVER TO GIVE CARD DETAILS to people who call them on the phone.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
