One evening a couple of weeks ago I travelled to London from my home in Leicestershire for a night out with a mate. At some point in the evening I lost my wallet which contained my debit and credit cards, £50 cash and my return train ticket. I did all the obvious things like retracing my steps and asking staff in the pubs…

It's worth noting that the Lloyds solution mentioned above only works if you're abroad.
