in Credit cards
I'm in the process of claiming back PPI on my credit cards. However, I don't think that either one of them are easy cases and wondered what you all thought.
PPI CLAIM 1: Against Tesco. Just got my T&C. It says "we strongly recommend you take out this cover"...I clearly ticked the box (although I do not recall doing so). This was done in October 2004. Roll forward January 2006 and I get made redundant. I do recall calling my creditors (as I hadn't found suitable employment) informing them that I was made redundant. Nothing was mentioned to me at the time about PPI and clearly did not act on it. It was only after (years later) when I had missed 'x' amounts of payments did I look closer at my bill and saw these payments (which I actually thought was interest)...so they were still charging me PPI when I couldn't even meet my minimum.
PPI CLAIM 2: Originally Sky then bought by Barclaycard. Got this card in 2003 but PPI wasn't added until after I got made redundant. I don't understand this at all??? Again I got into debt with this and was failing to meet min payments but they were still charging me £50 a month. I don't even remember asking for it....again I cancelled this when I actually realised what it was.
I'm not sure how to word either one - anyone had a similiar experience?
