Planting carrots now?

I have grown 2 lots of carrots this year in one of those potato bags, only used one as wasn't sure how they would do but they did well and were delicious!

Is it possible to plant some now ready for Christmas?

Not really, its a nice idea but there isn't much chance of sucess.

Next year you could grow some more and freeze them. Especially now that you know your method works. If you freeze them you can then have them as Christmas and they will be as fresh as the day you picked them.

Or,how about parsnips, if you are prepared to leave them all year. These stand well right into the winter, infact many do not harvest them until they have had a decent frost.
