in Credit cards
Hi,
Hoping people can help me out. Never had a credit card - always used debit cards. Never been overdrawn - only buy what I can afford.
However, I think the time has come to get a CC. Going away for business and makes more sense to have a CC as payments are better protected, might get the money back from company before I pay the bill (if the dates work out, but not a problem if it doesn't).
Where to start?! Currently bank with Natwest, shop with Tesco! Are any of those good considerations.
CC will mostly be used for spends abroad and I view any freebies/points etc as a bonus. I will set up direct debit to pay off all bills on time.
Not a homeowner, but earn a good salary, and probably have very little in the way of credit ratings being a CC virgin and not a homeowner.
Would welcome any advice please.
Thanks you so much.

Your bank would probably be the best place to start, given your lack of history. If that fails, then you'll probably need to look at aqua, cap one etc.0

The NatWest card has a 2.75% foreign exchange loading. This may not worry you if they're entirely business expenses reimbursed by your employer?
But in your situation, and with the information given, I'd try for a card with zero foreign exchange loading and if that fails then go for NatWest if you have a good relationship with them.0 -
Sorry I have been offline for a couple of days but really do appreciate your help and advice - thank you.0
