Santander cc question

in Credit cards
Hi guys, I am in a bit of a weird situation where I have £8 credit on my credit card (the wife overpaid it) and I would like to close the card. Does anyone know if I can go to Santander to ask for them to give me the cash or do I have to spend it before I close the account?
It's surprising how hard it is to find something to buy online for £8!!!
Thanks, Matt

They'll refund the credit amount if you ask them.0

You can close the account and ask for the balance to be send as a cheque or a transfer.
If you haven't paid the last two balances in full, there might be a bit more of 'residual (trailing) interest' to come.0 -
If you don't want the hassle of requesting a refund couldn't you just use it to buy exactly £8 of fuel. As mentioned previously watch out for any trailing interest before considering the the card's closure as final.0

Simply call them to close and ask for the credit to be passed to your account.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0

Or just go and buy something for more than £8 in a shop or restauant and ask to pay £8 on your CC and the rest in cash.Optimists see a glass half full
