Wanted - Old Washing Machine Drum

I am after an old washing machine drum. Any kind the bigger really the better. I have been down to the local council tip and didnt get any joy. Can anyone help??

Either the council or scrap dealers will move washing machines away for households. Ring them. Why do you want one though? I'm curious.

I went down to Lamby Way (not sure of spelling) and tried the depo at Fairwater. Fairwater seemed about the best but had just had their machines taken away. The man at the main depo in Lamby way said they were hard to get out the machine and so couldnt help unless one came in just as a drum.

This is why i want it.

Ring up someone in your local area who advertises fixing washing machines. If you hit lucky you might just find someone that has had their drum replaced. That's what I'd do anyway

if you can collect, why not put an ad in free ads or the echo etc offering to collect a broken machine that is no longer wanted?

as a lot of councils now charge to collect household goods, im sure there will be someone out there who is happy to get rid of their old one for free
