High Quality - Second Hand - Where to buy?

Hi guys,
Looking to furnish our new house with high quality second hand stuff! Any tips as to where I can buy - other than ebay? We are able to travel!
Is there anywhere I can get a list of high quality makes? (or is it trade secret?!) Tried 'googling' it - but must be putting in the wrong key words.
Happy easter to all :-)

it depends on what you are looking for but you can get some great stuff from your local auction houses, some will deal with quality stuff, others will deal with tat, just go find them, have a rumage round and see what you thinks.0

try https://www.loot.com
it's just like the adds in the back of the newspaper. you may have to go see the item first though as most don't have pics.0 -
How about:
Freecycle
Your local Charity furniture shops
Free-ads (local paper or Friday-Ad/Trader mag)
Auctions
Ads on local shop noticeboards
Looking through free-ads for several weeks in a row usually helps give you a feel for prices and good makes. Also go and look at the styles and colours currently used in some furniture stores you like (not that you're going to buy new but it will help you to see what woods and finishes you prefer. If you don't want modern stuff, go and check out antique shops for the same info even if you don't intend to buy there!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
