there are so many to choose from! i am looking to buy one as a gift.
i am going round in circles, so i am looking at nokia lumia 800 or a sony experia u. they are priced around £150.
i am looking for a phone thats not too complicated to use.
any opinions on either of these phones or any recommendations for any other decent phone within this price range, i would be grateful for any advice.

The Lumia 800 is great, I own one and think it is the best phone I have had.
Upgrading to the 920 when it comes out.
Do remember this though... the 800 runs Windows 7.5 (mango) and will not receive any more enhancement updates. It will not not run Windows 8 out later this month, and will not be available as a free upgrade as a result.
Saying that, the email and social integration is spot on with a half decent camera and software. Also has sat nav installed with maps as default.0 -
Also, when the first Win 8 phones come out later this month... you may find the Nokia Lumia 800 drops quite a bit in price. Might be worth waiting.0

thanks entimp, i am swaying towards the lumia 800 it has 8mpixel camera and a lower sar rating in comparison to the sony.
entimp how do you find the battery life?
friend is telling me the samsung galaxy s 11 is worth paying the extra for...just to confuse me even more !!
will have to hit the shops again and take another look at them0 -
The battery life isn't the best, not the worst either. I keep the charge cable with me at work anyway. The beauty of this phone easily makes up for it.
This is what Steve Wozniak said of the 900 (same phone with front facing camera). The other founder (and more intelligent) of Apple.Just for looks and beauty, I definitely favor the Windows 7 Phone over Android.
I’m kinda shocked how every screen is much more beautiful than the same apps on Android and iPhone.
I’m just shocked, I haven’t seen anything yet [in Windows Phone] that isn’t more beautiful than the other platforms.
It’s more intuitive and beautiful.
As far as eyes and visual, the Windows Phone is beautiful. [...] Especially compared to Android, it’s just no contest. The iPhone has a lot of beauty and simplicity, and you don’t get lost as much in it, but it’s more awkward to use.
It [the animation and design] just makes me feel like “oh my gosh, I’m more with a friend than I’m with a tool”.
Not a fan of android, so I cant give you an honest opinion on the Galaxy.0 -
thanks entimp, your help is much appreciated but made the decision today and bought a samsung galaxy S 11, based it on processor, same 8mp camera, battery life is supposedly better! but the deciding factor for me was the sar level is 0.338. a lot more money but just hope it is worth it. thank you again0
