I'd say that if he's left his mobile at home he'll be back.
It's so difficult to make generalisations about what people 'normally' do as everyone is different. My DH and I very rarely row about anything but when we do the last thing I'd want to do is walk away, I always want to stay and let him have it with both barrels or sulk until he apologised!;)0 -
Arguments are power struggles - so if you told him not to go, it probably made him more determined. Next time - relax - let him go - it's an argument. Let him deal with it and he'll calm down.
I can cope if my oh leaves because I now know if I become desperate, that he'll just run off. Now I tend to be a bit more philosophical and just think - well he'll be back when he's ready - if you get used to the idea and give him time - it'll come right.
Sometimes it's good to have a big arguement - it's like a storm, the air feels so good after.MSE Forum's favourite nutter :T0 -
Its usually always the bloke that storms out isnt it.. what if women did? God there would be uproar!
Dont give in to his tantrums OP, hopefully this will be a one off. Enjoy your evening, lock the door when its time for your bed. God, they are like children!0 -
when we row my OH will often go off and 'walk' his anger off. carry on with your normal evening hun. sometimes when he comes in he wants to talk - other times he goes off to bed in a huff! talk when he is ready!0

I have stayed out at friends before when we have had rows as I need my space. Try not too worry too much x0
