Reporting ebay + traders

The DSRs are changing next year. They give some more ground to consumers, but give another raft of exceptions, e.g. due to hygiene.
However, change-of-mind returns are being extended to cover online auctions from business sellers as well as fixed price, and the default period for cancellation if a seller has illegal terms extends to a whole year.
These apply to all online sellers, on-eBay and off, so if you don't want people to 'scam' you, then don't sell online.
The change of mind returns policy as it stands is IMO stupid , I've recently sold an item that was in mint condition and working exactly as it did the day I bought it brand new , buyer claims not as described and not working , probably because he didn't like it or got in a bidding war and paid more than he wanted to for it.
I made a few suggestions as to get it working as it should be and buyer then said it was working but not very well , there's a huge difference between don't work and don't like.
I can't see how I have any other option than to refund on return and lose out on the postage costs I spent to send the item to the clown , when it comes back I'll just sell it at a boot sale it as I can't be bothered to spend £3.65 a time sending out to "buyers " so they can play with it for a while and see if they like it.
If it was genuinely broken then I'd offer to pay his return postage costs but he can **** ***.0 -
I reported a seller to his local trading standards as he had illegal T+C and I had to fight flipping hard to get my postage refund.
Got emails of abuse from the seller as I kept pushing - apparently he'd rung ebay who'd told him he didn't need to refund my original postage either. Gave me a case number and a weblink to the ebay page ebay had pointed him to.
I genuinely believe ebay think they trump UK law as they do very little to try to stop sellers non compliance with DSR.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

They actually give sellers 14 days to refund when the law is only 7.bylromarha wrote: »
