I turn my laptop on, the first screen comes up with "Fujitsu Siemens" on it then the windows logo screen comes up, the one with the logo flag thing on it and the bar with the blue lights scrolling across it, then it just loops back to the fujitsu siemens screen again! WFT????

On the Fujitsu Siemens screen there is the option (if you press it really quick) to press F2 and it brings you into a screen full of gobbledeegook.

Any ideas whats wrong with the pesky lappy now? Im gonna chuck it straight out of the window at this rate. Have been without my lappy since Thursday night now and have resorted to borrowing my friends cause i was getting severe withdrawal symptoms.

Help pls techie guys n gals??:confused:

When you press the power on button, keep tapping F8 on your keyboard until you see a list of menu options.

select SAFE MODE and hit enter

See if it will boot now, the screen will look a mess but hopefully you will be able to get into windows and go from there.

It could be a number of things, but the most likely are memory and harddrive. From what you've described I would think that either some files on your hardrive have become corrupt or the harddrive is on the way out.

The best thing to do is try booting up with a startup cd (I use pe builder and check to see if toy can access your harddrive from there.

If you can't then your hardrive had become corrupt. If you can then check the memory

Tried that and loads of white writing came up on the screen but then it just went back to doing the same loop between the 2 screens thing:confused:

Should I try putting my windows disc in - the one that came with the laptop when it was new?

You could try that (press delete when booting up to go into BIOS and make sure CD drive is first in the boot sequence). You should get an option to repair the windows installation after booting from cd which is almost like a reinstall but your documents, settings and programs should be left intact.
