Childminding & cleaning work!!

Hello,
I'm new to this board. I am preparing myself to become a registered childminder but have decided when I start to focus on wrap-around care mainly, so before/after School. Inbetween this I have a number of domestic cleaning jobs coming up. So what I was wondering is would I have to register/advertise these as 2 different buisnesses or could it be say 'Charlotte's Childcare & Mummies help'? Or could the 2 things not go hand in hand?
Hope this makes sense, looking forward to hearing back.x

I'd do it separately. Otherwise it looks like you are only looking to do cleaning for people you childmind for/have kids? Especially the 'mummy's help' bit - I would think most cleaning jobs are coming from working couples with or without kids. It wouldn't occur to me that a 'mummy's help' meant someone who would just provide a cleaning service for my house.
You can always mention the 'other' business on the marketing materials, but keep them separate generally.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
What about school holidays and INSET - chances are some of the children may need minding then?
(Just a thought)
Other than that I agree with Heretolearn
Having said that, the CRB you will have to have for childminding will impress your cleaning clients;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Yep I thought about this the other day to, that will be something to think about.
The houses I am going to start cleaning are actually Mums which is why its aimed at Mummies help. They are all busy working Mums but I can see where your coming from Heretolearn.
Thank you for your feedback, something to think about.x0 -
If it's any help, I know three teachers who all employ cleaners;) - two of them don't have a cleaner during the school holidays.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thats what I thought also, the Mums whose houses I will be cleaning normally have the holidays off so doubt they will want a cleaner & if they do it is something I will have to think about, plus 1 is a teacher. Thank you.x0

Not sure if that's your intention or not, but there's nothing there to indicate that you provide cleaning services to people who aren't mums.0 -
No that wouldn't be the name, though at the moment I am cleaning houses for busy working Mums with more in the pipeline, there seems to be a shortage up here.x0
