Integrated/free standing

Ive the chance of an integrated larder fridge at a good price, but I dont want to use it as integrated, I want to use it as free standing. Is there any disadvantage to this, in terms of it not performing as well if its not surrounded by cupboards etc , or anything else I may not have thought of?

No issues with performance or anything, it'll work perfectly fine.
It will just look extremely ugly...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Why? Dont they just have plain white sides the same ?0

no they don't nor have they a top and it won't have anything on the door either so it will be just an ugly heap sitting there glowering at you.ANGLICANPAT wrote: »Why? Dont they just have plain white sides the same ?

I just realized where my confusion has come from. I thought my present fridge which is under the counter and sandwiched between units, was counted as an integral one , and its got ordinary sides but an unattractive top. When you look at the websites like Currys or Appliances online, the ones they call integrated, are always shown from the front, and you just presume the sides are ok, and they do seem to have a normal door.
Im disappointed, because I needed a narrow but tall fridge, and I thought Id found the answer in the integrated. Bummer!!!
This one for instance Bosch classic KIR24V20GB0
