recently made redundant. Once you apply for contribution jsa, does this open up the likelihood of council tax reduction?
Previously both husband and I worked and as such paid full council tax so was just wondering if i would qualify for a reduction now?

I think you would need to either be on income based JSA or have an underlying entitlement to it.
Does your husband still work?0 -
You have to contact your council and get the HB forms to fill in.
All depends what money you have coming in, and I think depends on savings as well.0 -
As above contribution based JSA doesn't give automatic entitlement to council tax benefit as you can be very well off and still get it. You could however be eligible on low income levels but will need to appy.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Yes, my husband still works. I just wondered if perhaps they would give us a ct reduction in light of redancy. JSA is contribution-based on previous NI not on income based JSA as i will hopefully get a redundancy settlement from my work. is it worth applying anyway or would i not qualify?0

No idea as it really depends how much income you have, certainly not just because of redundancy.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
